Back in 1951 congress passed a law on this improved pension program called the  Veterans’ Aid and Attendance Benefit, so that if you have served our country for 90 active duty days, Jim has found that these tax-free dollars can possibly help you with 30-50% of your costs of being in assisted living!

Mr. Jim Hanna has some wonderful stories and advice to share in this podcast.  He speaks about how he has helped complete some 500+ files and claims on his veterans, and have put over 4.2 million dollars in their checking accounts in the last 3 ½ years.  So many family members and surviving spouses of our veterans, as well as our vets were not aware of a benefit called improved pension with aid and attendance.  If your doctor tells you that you can no longer live at home safely on your own, it’s time for someone to come-in and provide some assistance to you.  Typically what happens is that if you’re still at home, you’re going to be hiring someone from a home health care agency to help you with things like medication, bathing and other assistance that you can’t do anymore.  Our veterans have given so very much to us, so isn’t it wonderful that they can get something back?
